9 Clare players to line out with Munster Interprovincial teams

Nine Clare men have been called up to the Munster Interprovincial squad for the upcoming series which takes place on the weekend of December 10th/11th.

Clarecastle’s Anthony Daly takes charge of the province’s hurlers and has recruited Cian Dillon, David Reidy and Aron Shanager to the squad. Dillon and Reidy were part of the Irish Shinty squad this year while Shannon teenager Shanagher has been rewarded for a positive first season on the county senior hurling panel.

Six members of the Clare senior football panel will form part of Ger O’Sullivan’s football panel. Gary Brennan, Jamie Malone, Eoin Cleary, Keelan Sexton, David Tubridy and Kevin Hartnett will line out for Munster next weekend.

In football, Leinster will face holders Connacht, with Munster doing battle with Ulster at Parnell Park with the final taking place there the next day. In hurling, Munster will meet Ulster and reigning champions Leinster put their title on the line against Connacht in a double bill at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh with the following day’s final fixed for Semple Stadium.
