The next life we save could be yours.
Cratloe and District Community First Responders are organising a training session for the new CFR group in the Cratloe area.
Community First Responder (CFR) Schemes are made up of volunteers who live or work within a particular community and have been trained to attend certain 112/999 calls in support of the National Ambulance Service (NAS).
Their aim is to reach a potentially life-threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives. They are able to provide first aid for certain conditions, including cardiac arrest (using a defibrillator if required).
The ambulance and CFRs are dispatched at the same time, so the ambulance will already be on its way and CFRs can make a life-saving contribution until they arrive.
Where: In the Cratloe GAA hall
When: Sunday 15th September from 10:00 – 14:00
Please contact them if you are interested in learning life-saving skills and becoming a volunteer.
You can Email the group or call 087 1666960.
