Last April, following the closure of Art Galleries and exhibition spaces, Katja Wittmer sat in her studio in Ennis, Co. Clare, and contemplated the impact of the lockdown on her art, and her need to share her artwork with others.
A prizewinning artwork, entered by Ennis student Cillian Boyd, is one of 13 artworks selected from the archives to illustrate the 2021 Texaco Children’s Art Competition Calendar just published.
Five-years old Clare student artist, Kate Moran, from Nicola Art Class, Ennis, has won a top prize in this year’s 66th Texaco Children’s Art Competition for his work entitled ‘My Daisy’.
