Music lovers in Clare are in for a rare treat on October 30th when some of Ireland’s finest harpists will be joined by renowned guitarist Steve Cooney for a special concert in St. Columba’s Church in Ennis.
The 9th annual Concertina Cruinniú (rescheduled this year, due to Covid-19, from its normal mid-February date) is Ireland’s greatest festival devoted to the concertina.
In a first for Mick Flannery, he and Irish newcomer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Susan O’Neill have come together on a collaboration album ‘In the Game’, set for release today.
A Clare musician has been named as a recipient of a 2021 Gradam Ceoil Award which pays homage to musicians who have advanced, strengthened, and preserved traditional music in Ireland.
