The Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard was requested to launch their rescue boat early this morning after a vessel was reported to be in difficulty off the Clare coast.
The Irish Coast Guard requested Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat to launch to assist 2 people on a 27ft cruiser suffering engine trouble in the rough weather conditions. The cruiser was reported to be one nautical mile north of Illaunmor.
A search and rescue operation was mounted off the west coast this afternoon after three people on board a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) were forced to abandon their vessel after a fire was reported to have broken out on board.
The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was launched earlier this evening to assist 4 adults on a 30ft cruiser that had run aground at Skehanagh, on eastern, Tipperary shore of Lough Derg behind Illaunmor.
