Power outage in Ennis

Several homes and businesses in Ennis are without power.

Earlier on Thursday afternoon over 1500 homes and businesses were affected by the lack of power with areas such as Francis Street, and those based on both the Tulla Road and Gort Road without electricity.

This figure has since been reduced to 125 after ESB crews pinpointed the location of the fault. However the outskirts of Ennis town are still without any supply.

Sources from ESB informed The Clare Herald that the fault is expected to be rectified by 9pm this evening.
