Ennis RFC have welcomed Western Garages on board as the U16 team’s sponsor at the launch of their new strip at the weekend.

Having just been crowned North Munster U16 champions, the Ennis U16s joined Volkswagen Western Garages on the Quin Rd in Ennis for the launch of the three-year sponsorship deal on Saturday afternoon.

Posing with their recently-claimed trophy, Ennis Club President Mike Corey said at the launch that he was delighted that an esteemed local business such as Western Garages were coming on board as sponsors for three years, adding that it was a great support to help develop young players to the best of their potential within the club.

“It’s fantastic to see local business aligning themselves with grassroots clubs such as Ennis RFC at underage level,” said Mr Corey.

Brendan Wall of Western Garages added that the sponsorship deal ties in with operating as the main VW dealers in Clare for the last 60 years.

“As part of our 60 year celebrations we’re kicking off with the sponsorship of Ennis Rugby Club.

“It’s great to be able to support a local team, it’s community, it’s local and that’s what we’re about,” he added.
