Kilfenora Céilí Band bring curtain down on Temple Bar Trad Fest

Large crowds turned out in Dublin on Sunday evening for the conclusion of Temple Bar Trad Fest 2017.

They were gathered at Dublin Castle to witness the Kilfenora Céilí Band in action as they brought a curtain down on the festival which was first established in 2006.

Members of the Kilfenora were joined by by former Riverdance lead Michael Donnellan, Michael Gardiner, Deirdre Kiely and Laura Minogue for what was described as “an exciting and energetic show”.

One of the most iconic musical groups from Clare, the Kilfenora Céilí Band was founded in 1909. Of the gigs that took place during the five day festival, the queue to see one the talented musicians from the Banner County was one of the biggest.

Ennis native and RTÉ radio presenter, Kieran Hanrahan was amongst those in the audience. The Céilí House presenter shared a video from the concert giving his approval to the performance.
