Next Saturday March 4th, on the eve of the Tipperary v Clare NHL match in Thurles, 26 cyclists will set out from Cusack Park to the home of the GAA.

This is the third year of this Banner GAA organised event that has so far raised over €8,000 for Sláinte an Chláir as well as funds for the club.

Preparations began for this event began last October and the first training spin was on Sunday 6th November.

Each Weekend since, the team has been out training for the spin.

Storm Ewan didn’t even deter the gang and keen kayaker Conor Smith offered to brave the flooded roadway to Maurice’s Mills to determine the depth of the challenge ahead.
