An incident has forced the temporary closure of the Limerick Tunnel.
Motorists travelling Northbound from the Limerick Tunnel are advised to travel via alternative routes. Those returning or passing through Co Clare should take the exit at the N69 Roundabout and proceed to the Dock Road and travel the old Limerick to Clare route. The closure was announced at 10pm on Sunday evening.
At 11pm the tunnel reopened. Drivers are being advised to proceed with caution.
