The Charity Shop & Furniture Home-Store set up by Clare Haven in 2013 in the Gort Road Business Park in Ennis is run by a small number of employees, and supported by a large panel of wonderfully dedicated volunteers.

All proceeds from both charity shops are ring-fenced to develop support, education, training & prevention programmes, which improve the outcomes for women and children experiencing violence and abuse in their own homes.

For over 20 years Clare Haven Services has been providing a wide range of support services, including refuge accommodation to women and children who experience domestic abuse. In 2016 alone 58 women and 113 children in the Clare community were forced to leave their homes due to the threat of violence & abuse, and availed of refuge in its emergency crisis accommodation in Ennis. A total of 672 calls were received on the charity’s 24 hour confidential helpline.

A further 230 women were provided with practical and emotional support services through its’ Outreach Support Services in Ennis, Kilrush, Shannon, Scarriff & Ennistymon. 82 women availed of Clare Haven’s court accompaniment support service and 47 women attended educational and life-skill programmes, while 36 children traumatised by the effects of abuse received essential therapeutic support through the medium of play.

The Clare Haven Fleadh 2017 Concert, to be held in the relaxed and comfortable surroundings of the spacious Charity Furniture Home-Store, is a unique event presenting the cream of local female talent, which is not to be missed.
