A massive navigation buoy that drifted almost 4,000 kilometres across the Atlantic, has been safely recovered from the sea and is no longer a danger to shipping.
Members of Clare Civil Defence have been on standby to assist in the multi-agency search operation following the loss of Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 116.
