Weather-wise the forecast isn’t too pleasing but that’ll have no effect on day eight of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Inis 2016.

Co Clare is doing very well in the competitions and there are more All-Ireland titles to be won across the day.

The Speks present a lively show of nursery rhymes and sing-along songs set to acoustic Irish music in Glór from 1pm. Their hand-clapping, toe-tapping, hearty-laughing show is all about life on Glasses Island – a magical island off the coast of Co. Clare where everybody wears glasses. It has been described as “Riverdance for kids”.

It’s the battle of the Senior Céilí Bands from 8pm at The Shannon Aerodome. At 9:30pm Kíla & Mànran team up for a concert in Glór.

For many it will be their final chance to soak up the atmosphere of the town for another twelve months.
