The Old Ground Hotel in Ennis took home a prestigious Merit Award at the CIE Tours International Awards of Excellence which were recently held in the National Gallery of Ireland.
The coveted awards were presented to outstanding hotels and tourist destinations from around the country which have received a customer satisfaction rating in excess of 90%. The recipients of the Awards of Excellence are chosen based on customer feedback from surveys completed by over 30,000 CIE Tours International customers.
The Old Ground Hotel, which has recently completed an extensive renovation of their banqueting facilities, is one of four tourist attractions in Clare to be honoured with this award, along with Dromoland Castle, the Cliffs of Moher and Caherconnell Sheepdog Demonstrations.
