Lahinch Golf Club, which will host the Irish Open in 2019, comes in 32nd while Trump’s International Golf Links at Doonbeg is 35th in the list.

Big movers in the rankings this year include two other Irish courses, 2019 Open venue Royal Portrush which has gone up five places to 8th, and Adare Manor in Ireland which re-enters at No. 25 after a phenomenal re-design by Tom Fazio.

In total, 50 of the top 100 are in England with 24 in Scotland. 22 Irish courses make the list along with 4 in Wales.

Trump Turnberry’s Ailsa course in Scotland keeps hold onto the top spot.

The Golf Monthly Top 100 is now in its eighth instalment and has been produced by club golfers rather than by tour pros, elite amateurs, course designers or those working inside the golf industry.
