The new series of An Ríl Deal is nearing its finale as TG4 and Adare Productions are looking for the next big thing in the World of Irish Dancing.
Fantastic performers of all styles of traditional dance have entertained viewers over the last 6 weeks; from Step dancers, Sean-Nós dancers to Set dancers, even a fusion of all styles. There have been no age restrictions on the dancers- young and old and everything in between have shown us their moves! Solo dancers, Duos and Groups.
The seventh episode is a Wildcard round, in which 7 acts from previous rounds that didn’t win their episode, get one more chance to impress the judges on stage. Which act has what it takes to dazzle with their dance moves and gain the last place in the An Ríl Deal final?
This Wildcard episode this Saturday brings back dancing duo Caoibhe from Williamstown, Co. Clare and Heidi who is from Loughrea, Co. Galway.
Also coming back are Dublin dance group Rince Rhythm (Dublin city and Co. Kildare), Caitlin Clarke (Donnybrook, Dublin) and Ruby Hoare (Ballyfermot, Dublin), Belfast stars Ellie Holmes and Youcef Belouazani (World champion Irish dancer-Lenadoon), Leitrim entertainers Alexandra and Toni O’Looney (Leitrim village – teacher Edwina Guckian) and Limerick talent Jack Rohan (Castleconnell, Co. Limerick).
Making the tough decision will be the 3 judges, all experts in the field of Irish dance; Galwegians Labhras Sonaí Choilm Learraí and Ronan O’Connell and Maynooth’s Úna Ní Fhlatharta.
This is the ultimate free-for-all Irish dance competition and a celebration of all the Irish dancing traditions.
An Ríl Deal is presented by Síomha Ní Ruairc and airs on Sundays at 8.30pm on TG4 and on the TG4 Player – TG4.ie.
