Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance following a number of recent incidents across the county.
Gardaí in Shannon are investigating two burglaries that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, 28th April 2024.
The first burglary occurred at a commercial premises at Drumgeely in Shannon at 3.17am. Three men travelled to the premises in a vehicle described as similar in model to an Audi A4, saloon style.
A short time later a second burglary was committed in Bunratty at 3.45am on Sunday morning. Similar to the first burglary, three men travelled to the premises in a vehicle described as similar in model to an Audi A4, saloon style. The front door of the premises was forced open and the three men left the scene in the same vehicle in the direction of
Newmarket on Fergus
Newmarket on Fergus Gardaí are investigating two burglaries that occurred between Saturday evening at 6pm and Sunday morning at 12 midday.
The first burglary occurred at a commercial premises on the Ennis Road. Access was gained to this property by forcing the front door. The perpetrators are believed to have been in the premises for a period of time.
Perpetrators attempted to gain access to a second commercial premises on Ennis Road during the same time frame as our previous incident. Again this occurred between Saturday evening at 6pm and Sunday at 12 midday.
Damage was caused to the property in a bid to gain entry and Gardaí in Newmarket On Fergus are appealing to anyone that may have heard noise from the industrial estate on the Ennis Road to contact Newmarket on Fergus Garda Station on 061 368172 or Shannon Garda Station on 061 365900.
Criminal Damage Incidents
Ennis Gardaí are appealing for the public’s assistance regarding an incident of Criminal Damage that occurred on Shallee Drive at 4.38am on Saturday morning, 27th April. Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have been driving on Shallee Drive between 4am and 5am on Saturday morning to contact them if they saw anyone at that time or if they have Dashcam footage. Gardaí in Ennis are also investigating criminal damage that was caused to a vehicle operating as a taxi on Sunday evening at approximately 8pm in Abbey Street carpark. A number of youths threw stones at a grey Skoda Octavia and they fled the scene on foot running from Abbey Street carpark up onto The Height through the alley at the Height. Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have witnessed this incident to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100.
Ennistymon
Gardaí in Ennistymon are investigating significant damage to a mobile home in Tullygarvan West between Saturday evening at 5pm and Sunday evening at 4pm. The mobile home was destroyed by fire and Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have been in the area that may have seen something out of place or might have observed someone purchasing an accelerant such as petrol, to please contact Ennistymon Garda Station on 065 7072180.
Killaloe
Killaloe Gardaí are investigating damage to a vehicle between Tuesday night at 10pm and Wednesday morning at 9.15am in the Clarisford estate in Killaloe. A silver Toyota Aqua was damaged and Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have seen someone in the estate that they were not familiar with or an unfamiliar vehicle, please contact Killaloe Garda Station on 061 620540.
Kilrush
Gardaí in Kilrush are investigating damage to a vehicle that happened on Henry Street between Wednesday evening at 7.30pm and Thursday morning at 10am. Gardaí in Kilrush are appealing to anyone that may have seen someone near a black mini on Henry Street on Wednesday evening or that night to contact Kilrush Garda Station on 065 9080550.
