Gardaí in Ennis are investigating the attempted unauthorised taking of a car in the town recently.
On Tuesday the 29th April at around 8.35am, at Shalee Drive, Cloughleigh, Ennis, the rear driver’s side window of a white Toyota Corolla car was broken and the ignition barrel tampered with.
The perpetrator was on foot, wearing a grey rain jacket with a hood and black pants with runners, there was a second male acting as a watch out wearing dark clothing, they both left on foot.
Gardaí are asking people to be extra vigilant, and that if you own a non EU vehicle and have an immobiliser, you might think of other crime prevention measures as a visual deterrent such as the steering wheel brace lock, or a car alarm.

Meanwhile, Gardaí are also investigating the theft of front and rear 2009 number plates from a grey Peugeot 207 car parked in Lower Market St Ennis on Tuesday last the 30th April between 3pm and midnight.
