Ennis Gardaí are investigating a burglary that took place on Hill View in Clarecastle last Thursday evening, 18th December between 4pm and 4.15pm.
A Garda pursuit took place following the incident however it was discontinued on safety grounds.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident or for information about the vehicle involved.
Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan confirmed: “Three culprits wearing balaclavas entered a home on Hill View just after 4pm. A black Audi A4 dropped them to the house.
During the course of this burglary a number of items were stolen. These include a Gold Armani bracelet; Gold ring and gold earrings encrusted with a green stone; Men’s Tommy Hilfiger watch; Men’s gold chain with a cross; Ladies Guess heart chain and a number of Xbox games.
“These culprits left the scene in the black Audi A4 and Gardaí were involved in the initial pursuit of the vehicle as it travelled in the direction of Limerick.
Due to the dangerous manner of driving, Gardaí withdrew from the pursuit. Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have observed this black Audi A4 in the area before the crime was committed on Thursday, 18th December just after 4pm,” Sgt Holohan said.
If anyone was were travelling towards Limerick after 4pm last Thursday and observed this car driving dangerously, if you have Dash Camera footage or phone footage of this vehicle, we would like to speak to you.
