Shannon Gardaí are continuing their investigation into a robbery that occurred near Glaise na Rinne in Shannon on Friday, the 19th December between 8.30 and 9pm.
The injured party, in his late teens, was walking along near Glaise Na Rinne when two males approached him. These males demanded his wallet and subsequently assaulted him.
The males were dressed in dark clothing with hoodies, one was approximately 5 foot 10 and the second male was taller. The injured party later reported the incident to Shannon Garda Station.
Crime Prevention Officer for Clare Sergeant Catriona Holohan said: “This was a very distressing incident for this young man and for his family. Gardaí in Shannon are anxious to speak to anyone that was walking in this area on Friday evening or who may have observed two men matching these descriptions in the area.
