Gardaí in Kilrush are investigating the circumstances of a public order incident which occurred in the West Clare town on Monday.
Gardaí have confirmed they received a report of an incident on the Henry Street area on Monday 2nd March 2026 at approximately 12:20 pm.A male in his 20s received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Several videos, circulated on social media, showed two men engaged in a fight in the midst of traffic. One was seen brandishing a hurley.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area of Henry Street, Vandeleur Street or Kilkee Road Roundabout at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
