The blood drive will take place on Wednesday, June 17, at The Civic Room, Buttermarket Building in Ennis from 3pm to 6pm.

Ms Costelloe, said: “Dylan died after he suffered significant blood loss following the accident. Blood donation has the potential to save lives. I wanted to do something positive in Dylan’s memory while also helping raise awareness around blood donation and encouraging more people to donate if they can.”

Members of the public can book their donation through the Irish Blood Transfusion Service, by calling 1800 222 111 or registering at www.giveblood.ie
