Gardaí are investigating a serious road traffic collision that occurred in East Clare late last night.
Emergency services responded to the incident near Clonlara at around 11.00pm. It’s understood the collision involved a scrambler motorcycle and a car. The scrambler user is believed to have been seriously injured.
Gardaí and National Ambulance Service paramedics responded to the scene along with units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service from Killaloe station and crews from Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the serious incident while road remains closed this morning pending completion of a forensic examination.
