Launch of ‘Kilkee Then and Now’ Booklet and Exhibition at Kilkee Library

Clare County Library is inviting the public to attend the launch of the ‘Kilkee Then and Now’ booklet and exhibition at 6.30pm on Monday, November 9th in Kilkee Library.

The project captures the rich heritage, memories and changing landscape of Kilkee, bringing together historical photographs, local stories and contemporary images to showcase how the town has evolved over the years while retaining its unique character and sense of community.

The booklet and accompanying exhibition have been developed as part of the Adult Literacy for Life initiative, supported by SOLAS, demonstrating how local history projects can encourage learning, community engagement and the sharing of knowledge across generations and cultures.

We are deeply grateful for the invaluable contribution of all participants, whose memories, photographs and personal reflections have helped create a lasting record of Kilkee’s past and present for generations to come.”

Members of the public are invited to attend this free event, meet contributors to the project, view the exhibition and receive a copy of the booklet.
