Two Clare teams are in action once more on Wednesday evening as the fourth round of games take place in the Celtic Challenge.

The Celtic Challenge is the GAA’s newest national competition and is for players aged 16 and 17 who are not undertaking state examinations. The ethos of the competition is a developmental one, where a 7 week programme of meaningful games is supplemented by a 1 to 1 ratio of games to training.

Clare have two divisional teams in the Celtic Challenge. This evening South Clare host Galway City West in Tubber at 19:30, at the same time North Clare take on Roscommon in Woodmount.

To date, both teams have one win, one draw and one defeat. Last week, North Clare had a comfortable 6-19 to 0-11 win over Mayo while a strong second half from North Galway was too much for South Clare who lost 3-18 to 1-16.
