8 Riders from Burren Racing Team competed in the Newcastlewest CC’s Classic on Sunday and enjoy their best weekend of results to date.
The Clare team registered their best results to date with Bellharbour man Mark Shannon winning the main 125 km A1/A2 race from a stacked field of some of the country’s best riders. Team mate Jarlath Hassett’s finished just behind Shannon in 5th place.
In the Under 16 event Burren rider Danny MacDonald finished in an excellent 6th place.
Ger Troy registered his best result to date winning the 80 km A4 race. Solid performances from Troy’s teammates Mick Davis, Finbar Conheady & Brian Nevin rounded off an excellent day of racing for the Clare team.
Burren Racing team have gone from strength to strength this season with results achieved every weekend.
