A Clare Herald reader is seeking help tracing a Clare man believed to have emigrated to Australia in the early 1900’s.

Dr Liam O’Connor, who is based in Western Australia, is hoping that someone might be able to help him with his research.

Liam says he’s seeking information on Denis (Dinny) Browne of Clare who spent time in Mountjoy Prison after the Truce. He moved to New South Wales, Australia and became family friend.

Liam believes this could be the same Denis Browne of Dromelihy documented in the 1911 Census and born 1898.

Please contact Dr Liam O’Connor by email at liam.oconnor@uwa.edu.au.
