Liscannor-based business woman, Raychel O’Keeffe has secured a listing with Supervalu through her participation in the Food Academy Programme.
The successful products include a superfood gluten free batter for seafood and vegetables and superfood gluten free tortilla wrap/pancake mix.
Raychel’s first business, Seagreen Catering was established in Liscannor in 2016. Raychel has over 20 years of practical cooking experience, and formal training from Hotel & Culinary School Galway Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), and completed further culinary studies at Ballymaloe, The Cooks Academy, and the Organic Centre, Ireland.
From this business she set up Seagreen Foods. She was the only business in Clare to be selected from the Food Academy Programme to have a listing with Supervalu.
The Food Academy Programme is a joint initiative between Local Enterprise Office Clare, Bord Bia and SuperValu and was established to support early-stage Irish food businesses. Participating companies gain access to expertise in branding, market research, business development and distribution, to allow them to scale up and secure listings with SuperValu.
