This year the Local Enterprise Offices are urging consumers to continue their support of local businesses when they are shopping for products, services and experiences for Christmas.

This week more than 1500 one-to-one sales appointments have been scheduled between 155 Irish leisure and UltraLuxe tourism suppliers, including ten businesses from Clare, with Irish-based tour operators and destination management companies (DMCs), to help drive demand for Ireland among international visitors in both the leisure and the UltraLuxe* markets.

Shannon and Ennis Chambers, on behalf of the 500 member companies they represent, have expressed their disappointment with the 3.8% rates increase signed off by Clare County Councillors last Friday.
