Fáilte Ireland has unveiled the first viewing points along the Burren Discovery Trail, a new looped route off the Wild Atlantic Way designed to encourage visitors to explore more and stay longer in the Burren. 

Shannon Airport’s 2022 schedule has been dealt a blow with news that American Airlines will not resume operations next May as previously planned and announced.

This week more than 1500 one-to-one sales appointments have been scheduled between 155 Irish leisure and UltraLuxe tourism suppliers, including ten businesses from Clare, with Irish-based tour operators and destination management companies (DMCs), to help drive demand for Ireland among international visitors in both the leisure and the UltraLuxe* markets.

Shannon and Ennis Chambers, on behalf of the 500 member companies they represent, have expressed their disappointment with the 3.8% rates increase signed off by Clare County Councillors last Friday. 

Members of the public are being invited to view the draft Shannon Town Centre Masterplan, which will be on public display until Monday, 20th December.

The first ever scheduled Ryanair service from Shannon Airport to Malta will commence next March it has been confirmed.
