Nine coastal communities in County Clare are set to benefit from €119,073 investment. 

Inspired by this year’s theme “Roots and Wings”, the festival features all facets of the arts including music, theatre, visual art, sculptures, films, poetry, literature, workshops, puppets, talks, walks, family fun and a dog show that is bigger and even better than last year! There is something for everybody.

Former Munster and Ireland hooker Jerry Flannery is calling on potential participants to hold their nerve and scale 160 feet down the side of one of Ireland’s most well-known buildings to help make wishes come true for seriously ill children all across Ireland.

The 13th annual Burren Slow Food Festival took place in Lisdoonvarna recently and brought together food and drinks producers, cooks, creators, eaters and writers for a weekend of talks, demonstrations and pop-up dinners from high profile chefs including Michelin stars Danni Barry and Takashi Miyazaki, Belfast’s Bia Rebel Head Chef Brian Donnelly and Euro-Toques Commissioner General, Gareth Mullins.

Music lovers in Clare are in for a rare treat with legendary musician Declan Sinnott set to play an intimate gig in Liscannor this Sunday May 19th.

The communities of Bunratty, Ennis and Westbury will represent County Clare in the 2019 IPB Pride of Place competition.
