A third-year student of Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Limerick has won the top prize of €5,000 for his innovative submission, “AeroZero.”
Hurling stars of the past, Ollie Moran from Limerick and Galway’s Peter Murphy, will this week lead provincial teams as they swap colder climes for sunshine and a hurley and sliothar for a golf bag for the now annual Shannon Airport Cup Invitational this weekend.
A U.S. bound flight had to turn back over the Atlantic and divert to Shannon Airport this evening so the crew could seek medical attention for an ill passenger.
