A transatlantic flight has diverted to Shannon Airport after a crew member was reported to have fallen ill.

A transatlantic jet has made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport this afternoon.

Shannon Airport welcomed return of two popular services which have been reintroduced by Ryanair.

Shannon remains the state’s busiest airport for unscheduled landings and aircraft emergencies even though the number of planes diverting last year dropped slightly.

This Friday night March 9th sees a local amalgamation of Atlantic Aviation Group and Molex (AAG/Molex) take their place in this years All Ireland Junior Inter-firm hurling final in Sixmilebridge at 6pm against Ulster Champions Creagh Concrete.
