Clare County Council in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland has established a Clare Tourism Recovery Taskforce to guide the reactivation of Clare as a tourism destination in a tactical response to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
An Irish organisation which connects diaspora with their place of origin is reporting a surge in activity by people outside Ireland tracing their Irish roots as a result of Covid-19.
A new all-weather RNLI lifeboat, which will be permanently based at Clifden in Connemara, will proudly carry the names of up to 10,000 people, placed on it by their loved ones.
The innovative work carried out by the staff of Clare County Council during the Covid-19 crisis will be highlighted on #YourCouncilDay, which takes today, 1st July.
