Scheme to develop outdoor dining capacity nationwide

The Minister for Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport, Gaeltacht  and Media and Fáilte Ireland have announced details of a new €17million Scheme for developing outdoor dining capacity nationwide. 

McNamara critical of Mandatory Hotel Quarantine strategy

Clare Independent T.D. Michael McNamara has criticised the Government's Mandatory Hotel Quarantine strategy, which he described as "a half-baked exercise in optics" and a "flawed measure" in the context of an unchecked border with Northern Ireland and when the majority of persons arriving in the state whether by air, sea or over land are not tested for variants of Covid-19.

Fianna Fáil Senator for Clare, Timmy Dooley, has welcomed the publication of the Government’s “Our Rural Future” strategy that looks to transform and develop rural Ireland.  

Phased easing of public health restrictions confirmed

In line with the plan set out in COVID-19 Resilience & Recovery 2021: The Path Ahead, the Government has announced the phased easing of some restrictions for the month of April, to commence on 12th April.
