The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was launched yesterday to assist 3 people on board a 36ft motor cruiser that had run aground north of the entrance to the Scarriff River in East Clare.
The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat has assisted two people on an 18ft motor cruiser that suffered engine failure about 2km north of Portumna Bridge above Lough Derg on the River Shannon.

An executive jet carried out a low-level fly past over the runway at Shannon Airport this afternoon so ground crews could check whether there was an issue with the aircraft’s landing gear.
