One person has been airlifted to hospital following a road traffic collision in Co Clare this afternoon.

Just over two years ago the culinary team at Adare Manor went on a 3000 km road trip around the island to directly meet the people that farm, fish and produce some of the best food this island has to offer. 

A former teacher at Inis Cealtra National School in Mountshannon, Co. Clare, has been named on the shortlist for the inaugural Teachers Inspire Ireland initiative. 

This year, in keeping with the ethos of the Burren Ecotourism Network members, the annual Vision Day was held in a carbon neutral venue.

Three angling initiatives in Clare granted funding through Inland Fisheries Ireland’s Sponsorship Programme. Sean Canney TD, Minister with responsibility for inland fisheries, welcomed funding for 87 angling events and initiatives across the country during the year as part of the programme which supports novice anglers and angling tourism to the tune of €30,000.  

A flight from Dublin to the U.S. was forced to turned around over the Atlantic and divert to Shannon Airport this afternoon after the crew declared a medical emergency.

ESB and Camara Education Ireland are calling on young people from across County Clare to get involved in the 2019 ESB Creative Tech Fest, which will take place in the Convention Centre, Dublin on Wednesday 30 October.
