Body recovered from sea in North Clare

The body of a man was recovered from the sea in Co Clare this afternoon while a report of a second body in the water proved to be a false alarm.

Funding for road safety measures and play areas

Clare County Council has received confirmation from the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs of its decision to allocate €323,000 in funding for 9 local Road Safety and Play Area schemes under the CLÁR Programme as part of the Government’s Action Plan for Rural Development.
