Avenue got off the mark to collect their first points in the Maloney Garden Machinery Premier Division this season as Bridge Celtic returned to winning ways.
Avenue Utd 2
Shannon Olympic 0

It’s a much needed lift for the Ennis club who had yet to register a point on the table going into Wednesday evening’s clash. They did enough to overcome the challenge of Shannon Olympic who are without a win in four games.
Gary Flynn netted a penalty for Avenue to put them in front and a fortunate deflection from an Olympic defender eluded Jason Carmody in goal to seal their victory.

A cross from Diarmuid Whelan was fired home by Liam Morris to give the South East Clare side a two goal advantage. Matters got worse for Ennis Town in the final ten minutes as Wesley Fleming struck for goal to secure a three goal victory.
