Meet the Makers: Celebrating Clare Craftsmanship at Glór

Clare Crafts Association will host a Meet the Makers event, a vibrant showcase of the county’s finest craftsmanship, taking place at Glór, Ennis on Saturday, 13th September 2025.

This free public event invites locals and visitors to discover the artistry, passion, and skill of Clare’s talented makers in an engaging afternoon filled with creativity and inspiration.

From woodwork and glass to ceramics, jewellery, textiles, and more, the event will feature a diverse range of handcrafted work. Visitors can enjoy live demonstrations, meet the makers behind the craft, and gain a deeper appreciation of the traditions and techniques shaping Clare’s creative landscape.

“This event is about shining a light on the remarkable talent we have right here in County Clare,” says John Hogan, Chairperson of Clare Crafts Association. “It’s a chance to connect directly with the makers, hear their stories, and support local craftsmanship in a welcoming, enjoyable setting.”

Guests are invited to browse the products, enjoy a chat with the craftspeople, and soak up the atmosphere over tea and coffee. Whether you are a lifelong craft enthusiast, a curious visitor, or simply looking for a relaxed and inspiring afternoon in Ennis, Meet the Makers offers something for all ages.

Crafts on show will include woodwork, glass, mosaics, ceramics, stonework, photography, jewellery, candles, soaps, knitwear, bags, leather goods, wreath making, paper art, and more.
