The Clare Association in Chicago is seeking support for efforts to raise funds for the family of man diagnose with an incurable brain tumour.
The Rally 4 Reynolds Benefit Fundraiser will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Chicago Gaelic Park, 6119 W. 147th Street, Oak Forest, to aid and support the Reynolds family, Paul and Lizzie, Eamonn (12) and Ronan (3).
In July 2023, the Reynolds family received devastating news; Paul was diagnosed with Astrocytoma Stage IV, an incurable brain tumour. Paul is currently undergoing a regimen of chemotherapy and radiation in an attempt to slow the cancer’s progress. Paul is a stationary engineer in Local 399, and Lizzie is a Chicago Public School teacher. The Reynolds are very involved in their Mount Greenwood community and their son’s school. Lizzie coordinated the famous Cassell School Duck Races.
Paul spent countless hours on sidelines coaching his son and friends in soccer, Gaelic football and hurling. Both Paul and Lizzie have served Gaelic Athletic organisations over the years at local and national levels as a coach and officers. (St. Jarlath’s Youth, Erin’s Rovers, St. Mary’s Camogie, Michael Cusack Hurling, Limerick Hurling, Chicago Divisional Board, USGAA).
The Rally 4 Reynolds Fundraiser will be a family-friendly event for all with food, entertainment, basket raffles, silent and live auctions and more. We ask that you consider helping make the fundraiser a success with donations of auction prizes, raffle baskets, gift certificates, services, merchandise. We will also gladly accept food donations from local establishments to serve at the benefit. No donation is too small and all are greatly appreciated!
