Ennis native Michelle Cotter to feature in RTÉ series

An Ennis native living in Sweden will feature on Baz Ashmawy’s tv series ‘Best Place to Be’ which will air on RTÉ One next  Tuesday (24th September).

In episode 4 of this six part series, Baz is in Stockholm, Sweden where he meets Michelle Cotter from Ennis. Baz takes the reins as bainisteoir at Stockholm City’s GAA club where Michelle is chairperson.

Michelle has been living in Sweden for the last two and a half years. She has a successful career in a music production company and has embedded herself in the Irish community in Stockholm, where she is chairperson of the city’s GAA Club, Stockholm Gaels.

For this episode, Baz will don a whistle and in full bainisteoir mode, puts the team through their paces at a training session.

Best Place to Be – RTÉ One

Baz Ashmawy travels across Europe meeting Irish people who have uprooted the lives they had in Ireland to make a home elsewhere.

Over the six episodes he meets a variety of Irish people who have made a new home abroad and gets the lowdown on their new country when it comes to how they live, work and play.

On his travels, Baz visits Portugal, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Cyprus, and Belgium. In each place, he spends time with Irish people learning about their lives, finding out why, for them, it’s The Best Place To Be.
