Clare FM won three silver titles at the annual IMRO Radio Awards which were held in Kilkenny last might.
The ‘IMROs’ recognise Ireland’s top radio talent and celebrates the industry’s best. Hosted by Dermot Whelan, the night saw an array of exceptional broadcasters and those behind the scenes take home the coveted awards across various categories.
With IMRO as the headline sponsor, the event showcased the creativity, innovation, and passion that drives Ireland’s radio sector. As always, it was a night of recognition, reconnection, and celebration.
Morning Focus Presenter Alan Morrissey claimed the Silver accolade after he was nominated in the ‘Local Speech Broadcaster’ of the year category.
Clare FM’s Programming Director Padraic Flaherty added yet another gong to an already impressive cabinet for his acclaimed documentaries. This time he was awarded the feature length special ‘Concrete Jungle’ which told the story of Clare connections to 9/11 was bestowed with the Silver award.
The award for short feature of the year is also coming to back to the Banner, with Clare FM winning the Silver awards for its ‘story behind the song’.
Speaking at the event, IMRO Chairperson Eleanor McEvoy said: “It’s a privilege for IMRO to continue our longstanding partnership with these Awards. As the curtains closed on another spectacular evening, optimism for the future of Irish radio was evident, and there was shared anticipation for what the next year would bring.
