Gardaí are investigating a serious incident in Miltown Malbay in West Clare with at least one person reported to have been transported to hospital.
Gardaí have cordoned two scenes close to The Square in the town following the incident earlier this evening.
A video that has been circulated on social media platforms this evening shows at least one male who appeared to be bleeding profusely while locals reported ‘blood pools’ outside two premises in the town.

The National Ambulance Service deployed resources to the incident and it’s understood that at least one male has been transported to hospital for treatment.
Gardaí have used crime scene tape to cordon off two areas which are expected to be examined.
