Gardaí seek witnesses to Ennistymon collision

Gardaí in Ennistymon are asking the public for their assistance with regard to a road traffic collision on Saturday last.

While no one was injured, the incident occurred at an electric vehicle charging point in a carpark on the Miltown Malbay road.

Crime Prevention Officer for Clare, Sergeant Catriona Holohan outlined the circumstances of the incident.

“This collision occurred by the Electric Charging Point at the Miltown Malbay Road Car Park in Lahinch on Saturday April 4th between 5pm and 5:30pm approx. The driver of an electric car, a blue Cupra Born estate, was charging at this Charging Point when a second vehicle collided with the Cupra. Gardaí believe the second vehicle involved in the collision is a red Nissan Leaf. Nobody was injured.”

Gardaí in Ennistymon are asking the public if they were in the Miltown Malbay Road car park in Lahinch on Saturday, between 5pm and 5:40pm on Saturday last. If they were and they may have witnessed the collision or may know who was driving the red Nissan Leaf, please contact Ennistymon Garda Station on 065 707 2180.
