Calling all National Schools – Road Safety Campaign

An Garda Síochána are asking all national schools to get on-board and send images of their students and their artwork which raise awareness for road safety.

The photos can be of any aspect that a student believes needs to be highlighted, whether it is wearing your seatbelt, reducing your speed, wearing a hi-vis jacket when walking or cycling, not holding a mobile phone when driving, etc.

Assistant Commissioner David Sheehan, Roads Policing, speaking at Garda Headquarters said: “The photos can be of any aspect that a student believes needs to be highlighted, whether it is wearing your seatbelt, reducing your speed, wearing a hi-vis jacket when walking or cycling, not holding a mobile phone when driving, etc.”

Email your images to us at corporate.communications@garda.ie no later than midday Monday 17th December 2018. Don’t forget to include the name of your school and your class.

All images submitted will be posted to Garda social media and website by 10am on Wednesday 19th December 2018.

A participating school will be selected at random to receive a visit from the Garda Dog Unit.
