Ennis Chamber is accepting entries across eight categories for the FBD Clare Business Excellence Awards 2017. This follows the official launch of the 7th annual Awards by William Cahir, President Ennis Chamber of Commerce and Pat Dowling, Chief Executive Clare County Council, on Friday June 30, at the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis.
The launch was sponsored by Bank of Ireland, and was attended by business leaders from across the county, sponsors of the event and past winners.
William Cahir, President, Ennis Chamber said, “Launched in 2010, the FBD Clare Business Excellence Awards have grown in strength from year to year and are now recognised as the premier benchmark for excellence and outstanding achievement, amongst businesses operating across all sectors within the Banner County.”
The eight categories reflect key areas of differentiation such as service, leadership, innovation and best use of technology, and are designed to showcase core business areas for the county including retail, hospitality, tourism and industry.
Pat Dowling, Chief Executive, Clare County Council said, “From the early stage start-ups who represent our future, our indigenous companies who are the backbone of our local economy and the presence of many global multi-nationals providing employment, Clare enjoys a diverse and highly competitive business environment. It’s important we acknowledge the vital role played by businesses in Clare and these awards provide an ideal opportunity to recognise, and celebrate, those that excel in their respective categories.”
FBD, title sponsor of the awards, since their inception, is a strong supporter of Irish business. Ide O’Keeffe, Branch Manager, FBD, Ennis said, “As leading business insurance experts, with such an established presence in County Clare, these awards are a perfect fit with the FBD brand and service, and as such we are delighted to once again support these awards which help drive and promote ever higher standards amongst businesses across the county.”
Ennis Chamber thanked the title sponsor FBD, the launch sponsor Bank of Ireland, plus category sponsors Essilor, AIB, Shannon Airport, Energia, Microsemi, Dublin Coach, and Local Enterprise Office Clare. BWG as drinks sponsors to the Awards Gala, scheduled for Friday November 10, 2017, were also praised and thanked for their support.
Since the Clare Business Excellence Awards were first established, over 70 businesses have been recognised for their outstanding achievements and standards. However, the focus is now firmly on this year’s potential winners. Businesses who want to stand out from their competitors, attract more business and top talent, should make it their business to enter.
The closing date for entries is July 28, 2017.
