This event has now been postponed due to the severe weather threat this weekend and has been provisionally rescheduled for November 4th.

Details of the refixed date will confirmed later.

The annual Clare Emergency Services Cycle will take place this Saturday (October 21st).

This is the second year of this event and the selected Charity is Slainte an Chlár.

Clare Cancer Support, Sláinte an Chláir, is a voluntary organisation at Kilnamona and Raheen, Scarriff which supports the people of Clare and their families affected by cancer.

They provide a range of supportive services and treatments from trained personnel that work alongside your medical treatment. Services include counselling, lymphoedema management, nutritional advice, meditation, reflexology, Tai Chi, Arts & Crafts and much more.

All services are free of charge and are only possible due to the very kind support from you the people of Clare who fundraise for us.

The cyclists will leave Ennis Garda Station at 10.30am for a leisurely cycle along a 60km route.

All proceeds will go directly to Sláinte An Chláir (Clare Cancer Support).

The cycle is open to members of An Garda Síochána, National Ambulance Service, Clare County Fire and Rescue Service, Clare Civil Defence and Shannon Airport Fire and Rescue Service.

Register for the event here.
