Clare visitors aplenty at record breaking Ploughing Championships

A record breaking 283,000 people attended the National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore last week.

Over the course of the three days traffic was steady with the second day of activities the busiest as 111,000 individuals went through the doors in Screggan just outside Tullamore.

Amongst the large crowds there were plenty of visitors from the Banner County. Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin managed to find time to catch up with some of them including Maeve Sheridan from Western Herd Brewing.
