A Clare woman has asked for one last push to secure enough votes that would allow her pitch her start-up healthcare business to English business magnate and Virgin Group founder Richard Branson.
Dysart O’Dea woman Carol Meere, an occupational therapist who established Indu, a new home healthcare company, following a personal experience when her own mother had major surgery last year.
Carol and her family had difficulty sourcing and securing the home care needs her mum required to help her in her recovery.
Following that experience, Carol established Indu which aims to help care recipients and their families to easily connect with healthcare providers, schedule care appointments and receive timely communications from a care provider.
Carol has now also entered Virgin Media Voom 2016, a competition for start-up and growth companies in the UK and Ireland which offers an amazing opportunity to pitch to Richard Branson along with a substantial financial prize &Â mentoring over a 12 month period.
Carol is hoping for the public will get behind her effort and vote before tomorrows closing time.
“In one last ditch effort to capture the nations hearts we have just released a must watch video – its a light hearted take on Indu’s adventures in #Voom2016. Think StarWars meets Lego Movie with Richard Branson in a leading role & Carol Meere from Indu saving the day & taking ‘the ultimate prize’,” Carol said today.
